First Letter to Ellery

Hi guys!

Ellery wrote to me first, so this is my first ever reply to her!

I included in the envelope this card which is a picture of Kaffe Facett's quilting work which I LOVE. I answered her questions in here and, by the end, the entire inside was completely covered with words. I feel like my answers were very long to some simple questions that she asked - but oh well!

I used this paper to make her flipbook and, as usual, look down in the 'Where to buy' section if you're interested in buying this for yourself or even a pen pal!

I used this orange, dotty washi tape to decorate the front of the envelope.

I then used the butterflies that I'd previously cut out from a gift bag and added them to the front of the envelope using my permanent tape mouse.

As you've seen me do before (and if you're new here, then check our other 'First letter to ...' posts), I folded the paper in half and then used the same washi tape to bind them together so that it would fold like a book.

After that, I added this cute little cloud notelet to the top and attached it with washi tape so that it could be flipped up.

I then wrote 'Flip It' on the blank side of the notelet and stuck a hot air balloon sticker on to it (links to the Stickii Club pack both of these things came in below).

I wrote a little message on the decorated side so she would flip it up and see it. The little bubble stickers were put on there by me as well, and I think this added a super cute dimension to it.

I dug around in my sticker/embellishment drawer and found a few things I thought she might like and attached them with a strip of washi tape to the right-hand side of the book.

I then wrote a note on a sticky note that I'd cut up and added a few more stickers from this month´s Stickii Club cute pack 'Up, Up and Away'.

I cut up another sticky note and wrote hello on it.

I added this to the front cover of the book along with some more bubbles and some washi in the top right corner.

I included a full letter in the envelope too which I used this paper for. I stuck the butterflies on using my permanent tape mouse.

I also gave her the cross-stitched butterfly that I made (the post for it is up on the blog so click here if you want to know what I'm talking about).

She received this a few days ago now, I can't wait for her reply!

Keep crafting x
