Hi guys!
Today, we have another Hobbycraft cross stitch kit for you. Let's get started!
Okay, so this is how the kit looks before it's opened.
It gives you all the thread, the pattern, the hoop and the Aida you need to create this gorgeous butterfly. However, I did write the numbers on the threads, which correspond to the pattern, just so it was easier later on.
I started with the lighter brown on the body.
Then I moved to the darker brown on the body and branched it out into the wings.
This pattern does contain quarter stitches, half stitches and three-quarter stitches. If you don't know how to do these, there are a lot of tutorials online, or, if you prefer, I can make one for you - just make sure to ask me!
As you can see, I got a bit carried away and didn't take any photographs until I reached the red.
Here, you can see the butterfly begin to form.
I like to do as much of the same colour as I can in one go.
I love the colour scheme they chose for this butterfly.
It definitely started to come together more at this point.
The above is the finished piece before the outline.
Here's the outlined piece! The kit was really fun and the pattern was super easy to follow!
