Hi guys!
As it was my birthday a couple of days ago, we didn't post anything as we were all enjoying the moment! However, now we are back and I'm going to share with you a flipbook I sent out to Kelly about a month ago. She's now received it and so I'm able to share this with you without spoiling it for her (if she sees it).
Okay, let's jump right in.
Now for the cover page! I used stamps to write the 'Hello Kelly' on the front (which was actually the first time I've ever used stamps - how exciting?!). The rest of the decorations were cut-outs from a flower book. The vintage looking newspapery background paper was from a paper pad from Wilko (so super inexpensive).
On the other side of the cover, I made a pocket for the goodies! Again, stamps and cut-outs were used here, along with the leftover newspaper-type stuff. I backed it with the yellow, vintage rose paper first which I found in a craft magazine my Grannie gave to me.
I thought you might like to see the goodies I included for her. The wine bottles were hand-cut from a napkin, and the rest of the items were from the same flower book as I've mentioned before.
I created this little pocket for the letter. It was half the size of the cover so it could be a little 'hidden' middle flap. I used some music sheet paper and some more dressmaking pattern paper to cover it. The original patterned cardstock that I started with was a wood grain pattern, and I figured that alone wouldn't really work with the theme I was going for.
On the reverse side of that pocket, I decorated it again and decided to add these tiny envelopes to hold some sticker flakes! I used washi tape to close up the envelopes and I can't remember where I got it from but, basically, it's a black and transparent plaid kind of pattern. The mini envelopes were purchased from BiscuitBarrelCrafts on Etsy!
The last page was this collage which is a selection of music sheets, succulent cut-out, Stickii stickers, napkin cut-outs and dressmaking pattern paper.
The back cover was made using the leftover square of wood grain patterned cardstock. I decorated with the same type of stickers, cut-outs and papers. I thought it'd be a cute touch to stamp some loving words down the side too, as a nice finishing flourish!
This is the finished product!
Thank you so much for reading - hopefully, you enjoyed it! We will be starting a YouTube channel soon which we're super excited about! Updates about that will be coming to our Instagram and Twitter as and when it happens, so if you haven't followed us there yet, click the icons on our blog to take you there so you don't miss out!
Our YouTube channel will be our main space then, instead of the blog, however, for each video we put out, there will be a coordinating blog post that goes with it - we're hoping that'll work and be exciting for everyone involved - we certainly can't wait to get started!
Keep crafting x
PS: we also have an Etsy shop so click here if you want to check it out!

Okay, let's jump right in.
This is the envelope in which I sent the final flipbook to her. Along with the music sheet paper, I used a vintage dressmaking pattern and added some floral stickers along the seam for an extra touch. The stickers (along with the perfume bottle down by the address) are all from various Stickii Club packs. The hanging plant is a cut-out from a nature encyclopedia.
