First Letter to Patrícia

Hi guys!

Yesterday, I wrote my first letter to the lovely Patrícia in Slovakia!

I started by choosing, then laying out the paper I wanted to use. Lately, I've been loving the watercolour look.

I then used some purple zig-zag washi tape to bind them together into a 'box-like' flipbook.

I really wanted to include this sheet, but it was too big so I cut around the wavy border to shave down the size.

After this, I used the same purple washi tape to stick it down so it'll flip and reveal some goodies.

I also cut out this bunch of flowers and teacup from the sheet. This came from the same paper stack as the camper van one!

To attach this, I used my crafter's companion permanent tape mouse and my paper tweezers. I use the tweezers when I want to be able to place something very precisely or when I'm handling tiny embellishments.

The cute book and flowers came from the same sheet as the vase and teacup and I definitely couldn't waste them so I stuck them on the bottom section of the flipbook.

Originally, I wasn't going to make a pocket here but I decided in the end that I'd like to. I found another piece from the same paper stack as the other bits, cut it in half, then used my tape pen to attach three sides, leaving the right-hand side open for my letter.

I found these sticky notes that matched the theme I was going for so I included these for her to use.

Earlier this year, I bought these small parcel tags so I used them to make a washi tape sample.

I attached it with a strip of the washi tape under the camper van flap and decided to make her another sample too. Also, I added a little sticky note with a message on it so she knew to look under the flap.

From cutting out the bouquet of flowers and the book, I had a washed out background piece of paper to use so I made a pocket and filled it with Stickii Club and Paperchase goodies.

I added a border to this page using the leftover bits from the camper van sheet, I think it worked well and I was glad not to waste such a pretty paper piece.

I slotted my letter in the pocket and decided to jazz it up a bit, so I stuck some stickers from Stickii Club's June Cute Pack on to it.

As you can see, I added the same type of stickers to this page...

 ...and also to this page!

I attached this card with a strip of the same washi tape because I wanted this to flip up as well.

I couldn't deal with the beautifulness of these stickers so I added more here too!

For the envelope, I cut 1/3 off an A4 envelope and then stuck three washi tape strips to the bottom.

After this, I took the other half of the pocket and stuck it in the left corner.

I then added some shell stickers to the edge of it and that was my completed envelope before the address...

...and here it is after the address!

Here is the completed flipbook ready to be sent to Patrícia!
