Hi guys!
I thought I'd share the creation process of my first letter to my penpal Anju! She lives in India and has received my letter and she tells me she is working on her reply, and I'm super excited!
Anyway, let's start.
I used this flowery cardstock and...
...this flowery cardstock. As always, if you want to know where I got these items from, look in the 'Where to buy' section at the bottom of this post.
So, I folded both pieces of card in half and stuck them down using my double sided tape applicator.
I then laid them next to each other and used the washi tape to join them and create a book-like fold.
I had a large gift tag, so I gave her a couple of washi tape samples.
I knew I wanted to make a pocket for the tag to sit in, so I used this purple, dotty cardstock and measured the size, cut it down then stuck it using the same washi tape.
After that was done, I placed my washi samples into it. I cut up a post-it note I had and wrote the words on it with a brown pen. I wanted to tie in the leafy, flowery theme so I stuck some puffy leaf stickers to it too. I then stuck it onto the pocket, with the 'tails' poking out the side.
I cut the same style post-it note and wrote 'Hey' in the same brown pen I used earlier. I used my double-sided tape applicator to stick it to the front of the book.
I used the rest of the purple, dotty cardstock to add a new dimension to the front page.
I stuck the actual letter to the inside of this page and I was very excited to post it and get it sent off to her!
I added a little extra gift in the envelope for her as well.
I made a ribbon-weaved postcard. Of course, I got the inspiration from our most recent Hobbycraft workshop. (Click here to read the post from that workshop, and see the step by step guide on how to do it).
For this one, I used the bright ribbon pack!
Here is the finished postcard! I used a random bit of card and backed it with a piece of white card so I could write a short message on it.
Keep crafting x
