Alexandria #2

Hi guys!

I'm hoping by now that this flipbook has made its way safely to Alexandria so that I can post this without spoiling it!

So, to start with, I picked out my papers. I decided on a vintage leaf theme. The papers I used were from a paper pad called Changing Seasons from Pound Land!

Instead of taking loads of pictures to explain how I put the papers together to make the actual book, I thought I'd just show you the flip through after I'd stuck it all together.

Following on with the vintage-ness of this project, I stuck down part of an old music sheet to the front cover of the book.

This golden rose sticker was from my first ever Stickii Club pack! I love these stickers, but I wasn't entirely sure if I was going to actually use them for anything!

The inside cover is where I put my letter. I used some of the orange, dotty washi tape to stick the side down so it will open in an accordion style.

Later on, I wrote 'Open Me' near the orange "tab".

For the tag with the crosshatch background, I drew around a pre-cut parcel tag that I found and then cut it out...

...which left it looking like this.

I then used my hole punch to punch a hole in the top, at roughly the same point as I drew it on.

The finished tag looked like this. I added another rose sticker (from the same pack as the previous one) and also a scrap of the same music sheet as on the cover. I put a pop of colour on there with the floral ribbon (I have no idea where I got this from, I just found it).

This is the tag I drew around originally but then decided to decorate it and pop it in for Alexandria as well.

To tie in with the other one, I used the same music sheet and rose, however, the butterflies were a new addition (but also from the same pack).

I taped them to the page with the orange, dotty washi tape.

I had a scrap, rectangular section of the paper I used for the first tag so...

...I made a band to hold some goodies on the back page!

All I did here was use the same washi tape and paper to create a pocket to stuff with more goodies.

I also added a little 'Best Wishes' headline because I felt it looked a little empty up there.

Here is the final flip through of the complete flipbook!

Before I show you the finished envelope, I figured I'd show you how I made it too!

I hope you enjoyed the read (and the watch)!

Keep crafting x
