Hi guys!
We have another flipbook for you today!
I used the papers from the Signature Collection Floral Delights 6x6 paper pad.
I used this washi tape that says "Live Laugh Love" on it to bind the papers together in a row, alternating the pattern.
Mum gave me these gorgeous pressed flower cards which I wanted to include in this floral book for Patrícia.
I ended up writing a message inside and attaching it to one of the pages with the washi tape.
Patrícia sent me a mail tag quest, so I completed it using 5 of these little white mail tags.
I numbered each one using Callcreative duotip pens. One side is a 3mm nib and the other side is a 0.83mm nib!
I then decided to do some little doodles around the numbers to add a little extra 'something' to it. I also wrote my answers to the questions on the back of each of them, which turned out well!
Again, this paper is from the same 6x6 paper pad, except I used this to make a pocket.
I used the same washi tape and a couple of stickers that you would have seen in our Paperlane Boutique haul (click here to view that post) to decorate it. I stuck it down with double-sided tape (only the bottom and two sides, so I could stuff it with things).
I decided to put my tags in here along with some pretty papers (which I have no idea where I got them from, but I'm sure they're easily found!).
To write the actual letter, I used these notelets from Stickii Club's July retro pack.
I wanted to make another pocket, so I did it in the same way as the first one!
To add a bit more texture to this page, I put some white translucent paper behind the notecard and stuck it down with my permanent tape pen.
Mum recently got these wooden hearts with a view to doing pyrography on them, but she found they were smaller than expected, so she gave them to me to include in my letters!
I stuck the heart in the top right corner using double-sided tape, and popped a picture of my cat (which Patrícia asked to see) as well as a bookmark - because she LOVES to read!
Also from Stickii Club's July retro pack, I added these flowers to the bottom of the translucent paper for added effect. I've nearly used up all of these flowers - I absolutely love them!
I added another wooden heart but tied some floral ribbon around it and slipped it in the pocket this time so she can use it if she likes it!
I then went back to the pockets and added a flower here...
and here.
I had a LOT of fun making this envelope! It was a plain, 7x7 inch, white envelope before I got started. Basically, I ripped up a load of papers (from the same Floral Delights pack) and glued them all down using a regular Pritt stick.
I then trimmed down the edges so it was a square again, wrote out her name and address and stuck it to some more white, translucent paper, which I then stuck to the envelope. As you can see, I didn't stop there! I added three more flowers from the retro pack to add even more floral goodness!
I prefer doing these video flip throughs of the finished product, rather than a static image, so expect these in all future blogs!
Keep crafting x
