Hi guys!
Today I wanted to share with you the flipbook I made for the gorgeous Alexandria!
It was easy for me to pick the papers for this lovely lady, and these all came from the 6x6-inch floral delights paper pad from the Signature Collection.
I had this beautiful envelope that I knew I definitely wanted to use. It's from Stickii Club's April retro pack. I'll put the links to everything in the 'Where to buy' section as always at the end of the post!
I decided to use these alpha stickers (also from the April retro pack) to spell out something on the front of the envelope.
So, I wrote 'Open Me'.
On the middle paper, I made a pocket from a sheet of paper from the same paper pad. All I did, is cut it in half and then trim it down slightly so it sat inside the washi tape. I then used my permanent tape pen to stick the two sides and the left edge down, leaving the right long side open to form a pocket.
I had some small parcel tags that I used to give her some washi samples.
I put the washi tape samples and the letter I'd written (which I used the little notelets in April's pack for) in the envelope and sealed it with this cute little wax seal sticker, which was also from April's pack).
While I was visiting Great Yarmouth, I found these pretty wooden picture frames in a store and I HAD to get them.
I decided to make a shaker pocket and frame it with it. I used the plastic that packages some craft supplies and used the permanent tape pen to stick down 3 of the sides, leaving one side open so I could put some sequins in it; then, I closed it up. I used double-sided tape to fix the shaker pocket to the frame and I think the overall effect was pretty cool!
This is the first shaker pocket I've ever made and I was pretty happy with how it turned out!
I used some of this card, from the same paper pad and folded it in half, and then cut a triangle shape out to make a pocket.
I filled it with some pretty papers and some floral parcel tags.
This cute kitty came from the Hunkydory Little Book of Special Days paper pad and I knew I wanted to use it, I just didn't know what to do with it.
In the end, I cut off most of the background and stuck it down.
I then used the rest of the floral paper from the pocket and made another smaller one. I filled it with a sticker from Stickii Club's March retro pack and a pretty paper.
Again, I wanted to use the rest of the card, so I made a square that I wrote 'From Zakiya' on with the same alphas as used previously, and decorated it with the floral paper.

I then picked the washi tape that went with it (this pineapple one was the only one I found in my collection that would suit it!) and then attached the papers together to make it look like a net for a cube.

I hate to waste materials, so I came up with a decoration that meant I could use up some of the leftover card from creating this pocket, as well as some of the floral pocket scraps too!
I filled it with some pretty papers and some floral parcel tags.

For the envelope, I used the pineapple washi tape and another notelet from the April pack to write her name and address on.
To show you the finished product, I wanted to show you a flip-through instead of just an image, so here it is!
I hope you enjoyed it!
