Hi guys!
So, today (the day of writing) I made my first ever snail mail flipbook/letter! This was also the first time I'd ever done anything purely 'papercraft' or 'scrapbooking', which was exciting, but the end result is not as neat or as close to the idea I had in my head (as you can imagine). Never mind - practice makes perfect, so I will get there!
I chose this pattern for the cardstock, as I know that my penpal loves all things vintage and this was the closest I could get to that vibe with the supplies I already have.
I then cut them down so that they'd fit into my envelope size and stuck them back to back (one red on one brown).
I then used gold, glittery washi tape to make the spine of flipbook so it would open and (hopefully) stay intact.
I cut up a brown paper bag (the type you get at food stalls) and wrote on it with a black pen for the front, and then added a couple of stickers.
On the first inside page, I added a stickie note, on which I wrote my top five favourite foods and stuck it down and bordered it with some washi. I also cut out another bit of the brown paper bag and stuck a sticker on it, then stuck it down and added another sticker for good measure.
After that, I made a pocket with the brown paper bag and filled it with a few little goodies.
I wrote my letter on a separate sheet of textured paper (which I forgot to photograph) and stuck it to the back of the flipbook (which I also forgot to photograph).
Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the envelope (which was my favourite part of the whole project)! Never mind, basically, it was a brown envelope, and I used the gold, zig-zag washi tape and the same type of stickie note as my top 5 for the address, and used the zig-zag washi to seal the envelope. Next time I won't forget to take a picture of it!
Keep crafting x

As usual, all the things I used will be in the 'Where to Buy' section at the bottom of the post! Okay, let's get stuck in.
